Accessing Our Services

At St Paul’s Clinic, we aim to make it easy for you to get the help you need, when you need it.

We follow the Welsh Government Access Standards. These set out what patients should expect from GP practices in Wales and help make sure care is safe, fair, and based on need.

More information about GP services in Wales is available here:

Contacting the Practice

You can contact us:

  • By telephone
  • In person at reception
  • Using digital services where available

We aim to answer calls as quickly as possible.

Because many of our patients need extra support, including the use of interpreters, some calls may take longer. This is because we take the time to listen, understand, and make sure every patient gets the help they need.

We will always treat you fairly and make sure you are supported.

Getting the Right Help

When you contact us, we may ask a few questions. This helps us make sure you get the right care.

You may be offered:

  • A same-day appointment if your problem is urgent
  • A pre-bookable appointment for routine care
  • An appointment with another member of the team
  • Advice about other NHS services that can help you

We do this to make sure you are seen safely and without unnecessary delay.

Using Other NHS Services

Sometimes, the best care is not always with a GP.

We may guide you to other services, such as:

  • Community pharmacy
  • NHS 111 Wales
  • Other local health services

This helps you get help more quickly and keeps GP appointments available for those who need them most.

Online Services

You can use online services to:

  • Order repeat prescriptions
  • View health information
