At St Paul’s Clinic, we understand how important unpaid carers are. Whether you’re looking after a relative, friend, or neighbour who couldn’t manage without your help, you are a carer — and we want to make sure you’re supported too.
We have a carers champion – Natalie. Please ask to speak to her for further information
You are a carer if you regularly support someone who is:
Elderly or frail
Living with a disability, long-term condition, or terminal illness
Managing mental health difficulties or substance misuse
Requiring help with communication, mobility, personal care, or medication
You don’t need to live with the person or be claiming any benefits to be recognised as a carer.
Telling us you are a carer allows us to:
Add this to your medical record so we can offer appropriate support
Offer flexibility for your appointments
Include you (with consent) in discussions about the care of the person you support
Ensure you’re invited for free annual flu vaccinations
Prioritise you for carer health checks and other relevant services
