From the 1st of April 2022, wherever possible, instead of getting a new prescription every 28 days you will now get them every 56 days. Each new prescription will now provide 56 days worth of medication rather than your traditional 28 days.
This will help to:
This will not apply to patients on certain types of medication (For example strong painkillers, medication that needs closely monitoring or a new medication that needs to be reviewed) or if you require additional help with your medication (Such as a compliance aid, Dosette Box or carers administering your medication)
You can help us to help you by requesting your medications in a timely manner, 7 days before your next prescription is due to allow us and Community Pharmacy to deal with the request.
